Cowell and Stevenson Colleges have several facilities available for gatherings and events. Review the 2024-2025 UCSC Venue and Rates here. To request a reservation please complete this Google Reservations Form. You can also contact stevresc@ucsc.edu with any questions. 

    Conference Room, Cowell 132

  • Conference Room

    Conference Room

    This room is available for meetings, events, and Cowell classes. The room is equipped with a projector, screen, adjustable lighting, and whiteboard. The conference room is only available for one-time events.

    Access: 8:00 AM - 1:00 AM Weekdays.

    Cost: See 2024-2024 Venues and Rates above

    Capacity: 49 with tables and chairs.

    • Mary Holmes Fireside Lounge

  • Fireside Lounge

    Located around the corner from the Dining Hall, Cowell's largest lounge is used for college-sponsored events, with a big flastscreen TV, fireplace, and a piano. When no events are underway this room functions as a study space.  Tech Crew is also available for hire for events.

    Cost: $100

    Capacity: 65 Seated 

    Furnishings: Couches, loveseats, piano, coffee table and approximately 40 chairs

    Founders Glen

    This is a grassy area located north of the Administration Building and next to the Cowell Circle. It is the location of the founding of UCSC. This space is available for reservation for occasional events.

    Cowell Courtyard

    This outdoor space located in the social center of Cowell is a gathering spot with a great view of the Monterey Bay. It is also our designated free speech area. The Courtyard is available for reservation for occasional events.
