Cowell Peer Advising

To better assisst in our mission of providing academic advising, our Peer Advisers are available for Virtual Zoom Drop-in advising, Google-Chat and email questions.

Cowell College Advisors are available in-person and online

• We can respond to many inquiries via email, including completing forms that require our signature. If you are unsure of whether you need an appointment, please email us first:  cowell@ucsc.edu
• We are available for 30-minute academic advising appointments if your situation is complicated.  You may schedule your appointment via Slug Sucess.  

Maximize your advising experience:

• Review your student portal including your Academic Advisement Report and Student Advising Summary.
• Bring a list of questions to help guide your meeting.
• Meet with your major (or prospective) major/minor adviser for any questions about those requirements.
• Follow up with your advisers recommendations to utilize other campus resources as needed.

We are located in the Cowell College Office (in the academic building facing the ocean). The office is open Monday through Friday from 9am- 12pm, 1pm-4pm during the academic year. We are closed on all university holidays.
