Move In for New Cowell Students

Cowell new first year students are scheduled to move into Cowell on Friday, September 26th or Saturday, September 27th. All students have been sent a specific move in date and time. Please do your best to show up on time for your move in appointment.

When you arrive at UCSC, please enter through the main entrance at the intersection of High and Bay streets. Once through the main entrance there will be signs guiding you to the "E" for the East Colleges and Cowell College check in lot in the East Remote Parking Lot (this lot is not at Cowell proper).

In the check in lot you will be supplied with your room keys, your ID if available (a temporary bus pass and meal card if your picture has not been taken already), a laundry card, and some important information to get you started. Additionally we will place you in our queue for taking your car up to your residence hall and unloading your stuff as close to the door as we can get you. Hopefully any delay will be minimal, but please be patient if we cannot send you up right away. We will supply you with an unloading pass when a space is ready for you, so be sure to wait for us to give you that before you drive up to Cowell!

Once you have brought your car to your residence hall at Cowell, you will have 20 minutes to unload your vehicle, then we ask that your car be driven down to the East Remote Parking Lot for parking. Your Move-in Pass will double as a parking pass for the remote lot for the rest of Friday or Saturday. Note that pets are not allowed on campus. Do not bring your family dog or other pet. For most of the day your vehicle will be parked in a hot, remote location.
