Cowell Press
Cowell Press is a hands-on letterpress printing studio where students learn the art and craft of traditional printing. Through courses and creative projects, students engage with language, design, and history in a collaborative and tactile setting.

Eloise Pickard Smith Gallery
The Eloise Pickard Smith Gallery presents contemporary art exhibitions that spark creativity and conversation. Named in honor of the founding provost’s wife, the gallery connects students, faculty, and the community through visual culture and interdisciplinary ideas.

Miriam Ellis International Playhouse
This annual performance series features short plays in multiple languages, celebrating global learning and cultural exchange. Students perform works in their language of study, creating a lively showcase of language, literature, and performance.

Smith Society
The Smith Society supports nontraditional and re-entry students, especially those with experience in foster care or other significant life challenges. It provides mentoring, community, and scholarships to help students succeed at UC Santa Cruz.
