April 29, 2018

Thursday, May 3; 5:30-7:00 pm

Join us for a lecture by artist Keris Salmon, whose series "We Have Made these Lands What They Are: The Architecture of Slavery" is on display as part of "Emerging Visions: Creative Practice at the Nexus of Freedom and Justice."

Based in Brooklyn, NY, Keris Salmon follows her journalism career in documentary filmmaking with story telling through the combination of words and still imagery. Her recent work explores family histories and their complex layers of relationships, unveiling the many significant links between black peoples’ past and present.
