Cowell Move In for Returning Students

Cowell returning students are scheduled to move into Cowell College on Saturday, September 27th. All students have been sent a specific move in time. Please do your best to show up on time for your move in appointment. If you cannot make the Saturday move in, you are welcome to move in Monday September 29- Wednesday October 1, but you must arrive no later than 5pm on Wednesday. If you cannot make it in by that time contact the Residential Life and Housing Office right away.

When you arrive at UCSC, please come to the East Remote Parking Lot. Do not drive straight to your building! You must first check in, where we will give you your keys, a move in parking pass, and place you in the queue for unloading your vehicle in Cowell.

In the check in lot you will be supplied with your room keys and we will place you in our queue for taking your car up to your residence hall or aparmtent and unloading your stuff as close to the door as we can get you. Hopefully any delay will be minimal, but please be patient if we cannot send you up right away. We will supply you with an unloading pass when a space is ready for you, so be sure to wait for us to give you that before you drive up to Cowell! If you drive straight to your building wihtout first stopping to check in and get a pass you will be turned away.

Once you arrive near your building, you will have 20 minutes to unload your vehicle. If you need more time, or need to bring another load in, come to the checkout lot agains so we can give you a new pass and keep the process moving. If you exceed your alloted time to unload your pass will not save you from a ticket. Be aware that if you bring a large vehicle, you will be asked to park farther away from your building where there is more room.
