Announcing the  Cowell College Photo Club!

Open to all UCSC students, the Photo Club is a chance to meet others who enjoy photography while learning from one another. The Photo Club meets every two weeks during the quarter. They host photo field trips on other days, and have photo challenges (for both DSLR and non-DSLR cameras), and enjoy the occasional workshop or presentation.

The Photo Club began in the Fall of 2016 under the leadership of four brand new-to-UCSC Cowell Volunteer Photographers. (To learn more about being a volunteer photographer, please visit Get Involved.)

In fall 2015 club members went on photo field trips
drone in the air with blue sky behind to the Alan Chadwick Garden and the Chime Hut. They enjoyed a workshop on night photography, a presentation about earning revenue through stock photography, and a drone demo of photo and video using DJI Phantom 3 equipment. All this plus new photo challenges and member showcases at each of the meetings.

The Photo Club is what we make of it, so please join with your enthusiasm and interest to share and learn. All levels are welcome (including those who's camera is a phone!). To learn more, join us for a meeting (listed in the Cowell Handout) or send an email to cowellphotoclub@gmail.com. Hope to see you!
