The UCSC student-run Acquire A Cappella will present its one-year anniversary concert. The choral group invites friends, family, and guests from the campus and community to enjoy a night of Disneymania, featuring musical selections from various Disney films.

Join us! Proceeds will go to the non-profit student organization to help further its a cappella practices in music and entertainment.

More on Acquire Acquire is UC Santa Cruz's newest and fastest growing a cappella group, and is sponsored by Cowell College. The singers come together twice a week to learn, arrange, and perform the music of their choice. In the first four months as a group, the singers performed all over the UCSC campus and hosted Acquirefest, the largest a cappella event on campus, bringing in six groups from northern California and yielding an audience of 450. Since returning this past fall, the group has grown with new members and has traveled outside Santa Cruz County, growing in awareness and reputation. Within its first year, the group has established relationships with over 15 collegiate, adult, and professional singing groups.

In the coming months, the group plans to put on big events on the UCSC campus, travel to venues outside of California, and record. Each singer is engaged in some way with every facet of the group, freely exchanging ideas for the group's direction and therefore become individualized components in every event's success.
