Dia de los Muertos
College Night
11/1/07
Mariachi, folkloric dance, and traditional foods, oh
my! Day of the Dead is the Mexican ritual to celebrate the
unity between life and death and to honor the dead. Come
fill your tummies with Mexican favorites and learn about
the cultural significance of this 3000+ year-old tradition.
After dinner, be dazzled by dancing by UCSC's own Los
Mejicas and mariachi music by Sueo Norteo. Note: the
Cowell Dining Hall will close at 2pm this day to prepare.
